Taking first steps

Finding your way to the stadium

In a few days, the 42nd FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Schladming start. Thousands of visitors are expected at the sporting event of the year to cheer for their ski stars and to experience the spectacle live. It only takes a few easy steps to bring the spectators free of stress to the WCS Arena.

Arrival

Guests arriving by car are directed to the WCS parking already in Haus/Ennstal or Pichl. From there, visitors can take the shuttle trains that run at regular intervals to get to Schladming for free. With a valid ticket or accreditation the ÖBB trains between Selzthal and Bischofshofen may be used free of charge. The Schladming train station is located 10 minutes of walking from the finish area. In the Greater Schladming area, regional shuttles run to ensure a stress-free journey to the WCS host city.

Ticket Check-In

Arrived in Schladming, the first way leads the WCS visitors to the ticket check-in. All tickets will be electronically registered, and then, every spectator receives a wristband in the color of the respective sector and race day. Access to stands will only be granted with a wristband. Children under 10 yeras have free admission, however, the youngest ski fans need wristbands, too. Additionally, the tickets are valid as a ticket for the ÖBB and can be kept as a souvenir.

Check-in desks are located in numerous places throughout Schladming as well as at the parking in Haus and Pichl. An overview map of all ticket check-in desks can be found here under the heading “WM Hotspots“.

Separate check-in desks for Golden and Silver VIP tickets are located at the drop-off area of Planet Planai, in front of Hohenhaustenne and directly in front of the VIP areas. Hohenhaustenne ticket-holders may exchange their tickets for wristbands right in front of Hohenhaustenne.
